Review and Install of LEDPOWERSPORT 120 watt LED light kit
For 2016 Skidoo Expedition REV/XS Sport 900 ACE by Roger Dufault of Ignace Ontario
Hello please find the following review and install experience i had recently with your 120watt clockable led kit. Thanks for all your text help during making a product choice and during install. If you can use this as a sales tool help by all means. I've included pics of my sled which are white and black with daytime and night time photos. One pic of the 120s in my sled glove box. As well I attached screen shots of the video as it helps to illustrate the process i went thru. I've also linked the video.
Febuary 2025 I was on a mission to replace my standard H4 halogen lights with a LED bulb kit. My first call was to a local dealer and of course they said none were available for my sled.
I then looked to aftermarket and found that LEDPOWERSPORT offered plug and play kits for my model of Skidoo Expedition
I didn’t know the best choice for my sled so I decided to use their TEXT US at 218-839-7315 and that was on a Sunday. While I wasn’t expecting a response till the next day they were very prompt in answering. From their suggestions of the 3 kits available for my sled I chose the new 120w clockable option for my ride.
I ordered it online and it arrived about a week or so later while I was on holiday.
Install process….
The lights are a plug and play but getting access to the old ones while it might seem simple isn’t so simple if you try to get the old bulbs out leaving everything in place. The factory wire clips are next to impossible to remove trying to dig in the glove box.
What I suggest is watching the following Youtube video of this skidoo from MudBrats/ SnowBrats channel as it was most helpful and making what was becoming a very frustrating experience into a much easier one.

Note: the machine is a skidoo in the rev xs platform it made the disassembly and reassembly very easy.
After watching the video you will need to do the following steps
Remove the windshield, glove box , gauge cluster and unclip the wiring harness connectors. Only simple tools are needed. A size 25 torx and a 8mm nut driver and needle nose pliers.
Next remove the remaining 25 torx head screws that hold on the main hood. Take that to a work table and turn over so you can remove the remaining screws. Separate the hood skin from the air breather box / light assembly. Then the last step is to remove the light box. Once the light box is removed you can remove the plastic fairing that surrounds the light cavities. With everything open it was fairly easy to remove the wire clips holding in the existing H4 bulbs. Ive added some screen shots of the video so you can reference while taking things apart.
Once out it was time to install the new 120 watt bulbs. LEDPOWERSPORT recommends wearing gloves to prevent hand oils getting on the new bulbs. I had forgotten that at first so I washed and cleaned them thoroughly with 70% alcohol before doing my install with gloves on. Once in its just plug them into the existing skidoo harness plug. At this point I texted for help once again and again super fast response! I wanted to know if I should modify the rubber dust covers or just leave them off because the new lights are fan cooled. I was told its best to leave them off as that would guarantee good airflow for the fans and long life for the lights.
I have since tried the lights out and they are super bright! I’m very pleased with how they light up the trail. I’m attaching a photo in my back yard that was pitch black before starting my sled. Both high and low beams work as they should and no flicker what so ever. Yes these are more expensive than some other brands I’ve seen online but they deliver plug and play. The customer service is very good and I received in a timely fashion. The photos of the white and black sled are mine with the lights running night and daytime. As you can see there very bright.
I hope this helps anyone who wants to put these lights into your skidoo rev platform sled.
